Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the Readify mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Readify is a document scanning, optical character recognition (OCR), and text-to-speech service that allows you to digitize printed documents and listen to them aloud. These Terms govern your access to and use of all features provided by the App.
1. Account & Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
2. Document Scanning & OCR
Readify uses on-device optical character recognition technology to extract text from scanned documents. While we strive for high accuracy, OCR results may contain errors, particularly with handwritten text, low-quality images, or unusual fonts.
You acknowledge that OCR output is provided "as is" and should be reviewed for accuracy before relying on it for important purposes. Readify is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the extracted text.
3. Text-to-Speech Services
The App provides text-to-speech functionality that converts extracted text into spoken audio. The quality and availability of voices may vary based on your subscription plan and device capabilities.
Text-to-speech output is generated using AI voice synthesis and is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not use the generated audio to create misleading content or impersonate others.
4. User Content & Data
You retain all ownership rights to the documents you scan and the text extracted from them ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant Readify a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the services.
Scanned documents and OCR data are stored locally on your device. If you opt into cloud sync (available on paid plans), your data will be stored securely on our servers. You may delete your data at any time through the App settings.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Readify offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed through your app store account (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) on a recurring monthly or annual basis. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, restore purchases, and sync entitlements across devices, while the app stores remain the merchant of record.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings. Refunds are handled according to the policies of the respective app store.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of Readify and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the documents you scan do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. Readify does not claim ownership of any scanned content.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Readify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Readify does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App. The total liability of Readify for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the App, other users, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Locally stored data will remain on your device until you uninstall the App. Cloud-synced data will be deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
